Vehicle CQB Strategies

Students will push the boundaries of “traditional” cover and concealment utilizing various cars and trucks in a true 3D environment.

This shooting qualification is specifically developed to test the skills, safety, and techniques taught in this course.

Prerequisites:

This is not a basic class. At minimum, students should have taken a basic handgun safety course and have experience with their firearm and gear.

We expect students to have experience shooting on a line in a safe manner, including loading, reloading and drawing/shooting from the holster. Shooters with IDPA, USPSA, NRA Action Pistol, 3-Gun, law enforcement and military experience meet the program prerequisites.

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training.

Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering. 

Equipment:

Handgun with at least 3 magazines (5 if single stack) and magazine pouch. Full Tactical gears or your field/combat uniform.

  • Vehicle Ballistics - Theory
  • Rake Angle of a Window
  • Difference of Concealment and Cover
  • Limited Cover Factor
  • Live Ballistic Demos with a Variety of   Ammunition will be Conducted as the Class Explores. 
  • Ballistics with Different Outcomes!
  • Numbers & Alphabetical Mixture
  • Drills will Incorporate Critical Weapon Employment while Engaging Threats in, Around, From, Over and Under vehicles with a Heavy Emphasis on Problem Solving.
  • Shooting Performance under Pressure
  • Various Shooting Drills
  • 16 to 18 Points of Cover
  • Ballistic Deflection, Deformation, Penetration and Terminal Effect in Direct correlation to Various Vehicle Mediums.
