Trauma Management

This intensive one-day class bridges the gap between entry-level first aid techniques and tactical medicine.
By familiarizing the student with simple anatomy and physiology, along with the most up to date treatment protocols; this course will provide the professional firearms instructor with the tools necessary to overcome an emergency situation.

The initial management of adult trauma patients is reviewed

The initial evaluation and management of specific injuries and the management of pediatric trauma are discussed

Prerequisites:

None.

Equipment:

Unit specific IFAK, litters and medical components
Note taking material

Protection:

Eyes and ears protection will be provided.

Discuss modern techniques for bleeding control and treatment of GSW
Patient assessment
Reporting and documentation
Range Safety kit considerations

Pre-existing medical conditions and cardiac events
