Handgun Level 2

Once students have received foundational handgun training and know-how to safely handle a handgun, it’s time to learn how to shoot. This is step 2 in our foundational handgun series.

To receive a certificate of completion, students will be required to demonstrate proper safe gun handling of a pistol in any environment through 8 hours of training.

Prerequisites:

Able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.

Firearm:

Available for rent.

Holster:

Available for rent.

Belt:

Available for rent.

Protection:

Eyes and ears protection will be provided.

  • Support Equipment
  • Shooting Basics
  • Presentation of the Handgun from the Holster to the Target and Safely Recover back to the Holster 
  • Cleaning and Maintenance 
  • Static Shooting Positions
  • The Importance of Proper Grip, Sight Alignment, Sight Picture, Stance, Trigger Control and Follow Through
  • Administrative
  • Service Loading and Unloading Techniques
